Keith T. Ryan, Managing Principal
Mr. Ryan is a senior healthcare leader with over 20 years of expertise delivering strategic technology solutions and operational improvements to enhance core business processes, advance clinical quality and improve competitive positioning with healthcare delivery organizations. His clients have included academic medical centers, multi-facility health systems, major teaching hospitals, community and critical access hospitals as well as large and small physician practice groups. Mr. Ryan has authored or co-authored numerous articles and given talks on a variety of healthcare information technology topics.
Prior to founding Cornerstone Advisors, Mr. Ryan served as Vice President & Chief Information Officer of Stamford Health System and Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. He also served as a Practice Director and business unit leader of First Consulting Group, Inc.; and as a Principal Consultant at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).
Mr. Ryan is a member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and the College of Health Information Management Executives (CHIME). He holds a Master of Science in Information and Communication Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and Finance, both from Ball State University.
Jeff Webber, Vice President
Mr. Webber, Vice President and MEDITECH Practice Director, is a senior healthcare professional with over 20 years of experience delivering solutions through exceptional project and operational leadership within the MEDITECH Community. Mr. Webber is a MEDITECH expert and solutions-oriented professional with a successful track record of managing large-scale implementations and migrations across healthcare organizations of every size.
Mr. Webber’s focus is on providing implementation guidance and program management leadership for MEDITECH Advanced Clinical, Ancillary and Financial project efforts. He brings a deep understanding of hospital operations, change management, project governance, resource planning and process redesign to this work.
Prior to joining Cornerstone Advisors, Mr. Webber served as the MEDITECH Practice Director of HealthCare Data Specialists. Previously, he was CIO of Newton Medical Center, and Consultant at Park City Solutions (now Medicity).
Mr. Webber is a member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Friends University.
Gregg Fajkus, Vice President
Mr. Fajkus, Vice President and Epic Practice Director, is a senior healthcare professional whose more than 20 years of experience includes a deep background in clinical and revenue cycle systems in both the ambulatory and acute care environments. He is a seasoned advisor with broad experience facilitating IT strategic planning processes, as well as planning and managing large-scale clinical and revenue cycle system implementations for many of the country’s largest and most progressive healthcare organizations.
Prior to joining Cornerstone Advisors, Mr. Fajkus was the founding Director of the Epic Practice at Encore Health Resources which, under his leadership, received awards for excellence in service. He was also a founding member of the Epic Practice at Healthlink Incorporated, where he helped architect the largest Epic Practice in the industry with more than 150 consultants. He has provided Epic planning, management and implementation services to organizations ranging from large academic medical centers to privately-held medical group practices. In addition to his Epic experience, Mr. Fajkus has an expert understanding of the ambulatory environment within health systems as well as medical group practices of all sizes.
Mr. Fajkus is a member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). He holds a Master of Business Administration in Health Organization Management and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, both from Texas Tech University.
Mary Kay Beltramini, Vice President
Ms. Beltramini, Vice President of Business Development, is a healthcare professional with over 25 years of experience in healthcare and Information Technology (IT). Ms. Beltramini has delivered solutions to hospitals and physician practices from three different vantage points: sales, delivery, and strategic advisory consulting services. She is a seasoned advisor with broad experience in IT strategic planning processes as well as ambulatory EHR and Practice Management implementations and integration.
Prior to joining Cornerstone Advisors Ms. Beltramini was a Healthcare Information Technology Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers and a Client Partner at First Consulting Group / Computer Sciences Corporation. Ms. Beltramini also served in the capacity of President at the Northern California HIMSS Chapter.
Ms. Beltramini holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Sonoma State University in California.
Peter Zazzara, Vice President
Mr. Zazzara is a senior healthcare professional with more than 20 years of experience reflecting his deep commitment to helping organizations pursue operational performance excellence by better leveraging information technology. Mr. Zazzara has in-depth knowledge of healthcare information technology solution providers in software, hardware, devices, and services. He began his career helping organizations apply patient-focused concepts to improve operating performance in acute and ambulatory care settings. Since that time, Mr. Zazzara has integrated these concepts into the development of IT strategies to support PCMH, clinically integrated networks, ACOs, affiliated network development, and emerging care delivery models.
Prior to joining Cornerstone Advisors, Mr. Zazzara held leadership positions at IBM/Healthlink and Dell/Perot Systems. He holds a B.S. from the Rochester Institute of Technology, College of Applied Science & Technology and an MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.
Joe Grinstead, Associate Vice-President
Mr. Grinstead is a senior healthcare leader with nearly 20 years of healthcare IT experience. Mr. Grinstead combines extensive technology expertise with healthcare operational experience through the active leadership of many enterprise-wide implementation, redesign and optimization initiatives. Mr. Grinstead has provided assessment, planning and leadership services to healthcare organizations ranging from large, integrated delivery systems to community hospitals and physician practices. In addition to experiences with organizations in the United States, Mr. Grinstead has also worked in Canada, the United Kingdom and Ireland. Mr. Grinstead has extensive experience with IT Service Management and Project Management approaches and methodologies.
Prior to joining Cornerstone Advisors, Mr. Grinstead was instrumental in leading the MEDITECH Consulting Practice at JJWild, and then later Perot Systems / Dell Services. While leading the Healthcare Applications Management team at Perot Systems / Dell Services, Mr. Grinstead provided services to over 100 hospitals across the United States with a global team of over 250 professionals. Previously, Mr. Grinstead was a Regional Information Officer for CHRISTUS Health.
Mr. Grinstead is a member of the Healthcare Information Management and Systems Society (HIMSS) and has served on the HIMSS Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) committee and the Innovation committee. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Capella University.
David Starr, Associate Vice-President
Mr. Starr is a senior healthcare leader with over 15 of experience leading large-scale implementation efforts. An exceptional motivator, he has led teams ranging from 25 to 150. His unique approach and personal connections with others are two factors which ensure success in meeting deadlines and deliverables.
Prior to joining Cornerstone Advisors, Mr. Starr led Alegent Creighton Health System through the selection and implementation of Epic across their 9 hospitals and 50 clinics. Previously, he was Director of Business Systems at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he led the Epic Revenue Cycle stabilization and optimization efforts, and subsequently provided program leadership for the clinical implementation. Mr. Starr was formerly at the City of Hope where, while acting as interim Chief Information Officer, he defined the enterprise EHR strategy for the organization.
Mr. Starr is a member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). He earned his Bachelors of Science in Information Systems from the University of Redlands and Masters of Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University.
Jan McLellan, Director
Ms. McLellan is an Informatics Nurse Specialist, with nearly 25 years of healthcare information systems experience. Jan has dedicated a significant portion of her career working in a variety of roles within the Epic market space. Ms. McLellan’s work has spanned pre-implementation planning and clinical informatics workflow redesign to leading and managing a full life cycle implementation of Epic Revenue Cycle, Inpatient and Ambulatory applications.
Prior to joining Cornerstone Advisors, Ms. McLellan was an Epic Service Line leader at IBM and Healthlink. Ms. McLellan has served as an Adjunct Faculty member for Nursing BSN and MSN programs, and is the author of multiple publications on Nursing Informatics.
Ms. McLellan earned her BSN from Minot State University and MSN from California State University. She is credentialed as a Nursing Informatist by the American Nursing Credentialing Center and is a member of HIMSS and ANIA.
Kim Holland, CFO
Ms. Holland is a finance professional with over 30 years of diverse experience, including accounting, audit, controllership, budgeting, and financial reporting. Prior to joining Cornerstone Advisors, she managed her own accounting practice specializing in individual and small business taxation, bookkeeping, and payroll administration.
Ms. Holland began her career with GTE (now Verizon), a Fortune 100 telecommunications company, where she worked for 11 years in a variety of staff and leadership positions. She later served as the controller for a document imaging company.
Ms. Holland has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Tampa and a Master of Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Financial Planner, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Kristi Lane, Vice President
Ms. Lane, Vice President of Talent Management, is a talent acquisition and management professional with nearly 20 years of experience in Healthcare IT Consulting. Her diverse background combines a broad base of experiences in operations, recruiting, administration, and human resource management. As the Vice President of Talent Management, Ms. Lane is responsible for leading and managing the Firm’s recruiting, culture, and associate advocacy efforts. Prior to joining Cornerstone Advisors, Ms. Lane acted in a similar capacity with Beacon Partners.
Ms. Lane’s successful career included similar and various roles in talent management at Superior Consultant Company and ACS Healthcare Solutions.
Ms. Lane has a Master’s Degree from Lesley University, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and Business from Fitchburg State University.
Chris Blakemore, Director
Mr. Blakemore is a senior healthcare leader with over 30 years of experience leading strategic inpatient, outpatient, and ambulatory clinical and financial systems initiatives for both small and large, complex healthcare organizations. During his twenty years of working in the MEDITECH arena, Mr. Blakemore has directed enterprise-wide implementations efforts for start-up hospitals and large complex, multi-regional health systems. Mr. Blakemore combines his financial and Information Technology experience to identifying, quantifying and delivering business value from information technology investments.
Prior to joining Cornerstone Advisors, Mr. Blakemore served as Associate Chief Information Officer for CHRISTUS Health, an Integrated Delivery Network with more than forty hospitals and over 400 IT professionals. Previously, Blakemore has served in a variety of leadership positions in for-profit health ventures including acute and psychiatric healthcare, home health and clinical laboratories.
Mr. Blakemore is a member of the Health Information Systems Society. He has an undergraduate degree in business from Central Missouri University and a Master’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington.
